YOU GUYS. Sorry for the photo overload, but you have no idea how hard it was to pick just these ones to share with you. There are SO MANY OTHERS that I love!!! Ohhh my gosh, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lindsey Bickert Photography. You know what? You’re just going to have to go like her FACEBOOK PAGE and check out her WEBSITE while you’re at it. She’s amazing – if you live in the Springs, you need to book her asap! She is amazing and so good with kids. Please, guys, treat yourself to a good family session and book Lindsey while she still has spots remaining!

This post will officially be my last Colorado-Springs-Summer-Adventures post. We did our best to get out this past summer and explore all the Springs (and surrounding areas) had to offer. Sometimes I took pictures, but most times I didn’t. To be honest, it is really time-consuming and ridiculously difficult to take pictures of three kids as well as details of the area. Shocking, right?

Anyway, we’re not sure whether or not we will be moving in May of 2019, so this past summer might very well have been our last in the Springs. Another moment of honesty: I AM SO READY TO MOVE! Shawn and I are eager to explore the world and give our children a chance to experience different areas and (hopefully) different cultures. It’s all in God’s hands, though, so our dreams may be put on hold for a few more years. We won’t know for a while, but I’ll keep you posted.

These were taken about two-and-a-half months ago in Manitou Springs, an adorable little city located just outside of Colorado Springs. We visit here often; we love the quaint little shops and fun restaurants. We will definitely miss this city if we move, but I’m glad I took the time to take pictures so we can look back on our fun time with friends!PS We visited Manitou with one of my good friends, Hope. She is pregnant with her third baby now, and she is also a blogger! Check out her Facebook page here, and her blog here. You will not regret reading about her family’s story. It is a powerful message of loss, love, and healing. I am so proud of her honesty and openness. God is using her in many ways – I know her posts will speak to you, in ways you may not even expect!

I love Colorado Springs during the summer! It’s the one time I’m actually cool with it being ridiculously sunny all the time (although this past summer was SO cool because it thunder-stormed almost every day at 3 pm). Because we’re temporarily living in North Carolina this Fall and early winter – we got here two weeks ago – it was pretty neat to go through all the photos I took during our summer in the Springs.

I really loved these ones in particular, because we got to visit a castle by Garden of the Gods. This is the second time we visited Glen Eyrie Castle (first time for Myles), but last time we went it was snowing and WAY too freaking cold to walk around the grounds and enjoy the beauty of this place. We spent the entire afternoon eating snacks, walking around, and taking pictures! My kind of day!!

Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for more pictures of our adventures in the Springs over the next month or so (and don’t forget to view our previous posts)!
