There’s a really cool candy factory in Denver (Hammond’s Candy), and every once in a while, the girls and I love to go check it out. They give free tours and at the end, they’ll give away one piece of candy to whoever wants it! The tour ends in their candy store, and that’s where I got two amazing lollipops for a future idea. I wanted to do a Valentine’s Day shoot with the girls!

So, when my sister was visiting, we went around the corner on a relatively warm day to shoot these pictures. I’ve never seen these two more willing to pose for a picture than when they have candy!! Needless to say, they loved it! čśë

Oh boy, my heart is so full with these two. They are content to just hang out together, even though Fletcher, doesn’t play with her older sister quite yet. They make my life so enjoyable and the simple truth is I am so blessed to be their mommy. I can’t believe God gave me these two. I can’t believe I get to watch them develop and grow up. I can’t believe God entrusted Shawn and me to teach and bestow wisdom onto them. It’s a huge responsibility, and it can be frustrating sometimes, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m just so grateful. All you parents out there know what I’m talking about! Could you imagine your life without your precious kids? I can’t remember what it was like before we had ours! It honestly feels empty, in comparison.

Marlowe, my oldest, will be three-years-old soon. She loves to tell other people what to do (including our pets) and she loves to cuddle. She will go up to complete strangers (not always a good thing) and give them hugs. I do have to keep a close eye on her, but I love her social attitude. She’s going to have a lot of friends growing up, that’s for sure.

Fletcher, my youngest daughter, will be one-year-old in 22 days! Where has this year gone? She’s hit so many milestones (including rolling over when she was only two months old, yikes!) and she has so many more to go. As time goes on, I realize that she is the happy-go-lucky type. She smiles all day long, and she is just content to be alive. I could learn to be more like her, to be honest. Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing her personality shine through even more every day!

I don’t have much to say about this blog post, other than the fact that I’m just loving my oldest daughter, Marlowe! She’s such a joy to be around! I love the way she loves on our dog and cat (as you can see above), and it is hilarious to listen to her try and boss them around. She’s definitely the “oldest child”, with her bossiness and I-do-what-I-want behavior… Not that Shawn and I just let her do what she wants to do, but most of the time we don’t worry about it because she’s a great girl.

I can’t wait to see Marlowe┬áinteract more with Fletcher, our almost-one-year-old girl! She loves Fletcher so much already; it will be so fulfilling to see them play together when Fletcher’s old enough to do that! I’m sure it’ll be here before I know it.
