It’s hard for me to imagine that these photos were actually taken 8 weeks ago. I was around 12 weeks, which is why my belly appears so freaking small… Well, it isn’t anymore!

With thanksgiving around the corner, I have a lot to be grateful for. One thing in particular is the health of my children. We don’t seem to have many issues regarding their physical or emotional well-being.

Another thing I’m grateful for is my family’s help and support during this difficult time when Shawn is away. A lot of really sad and terrible things have taken place in the last 3 months, which I won’t go into right now, but I know my entire family has been praying.

I’d like to end on a good note by saying that I’m not sure I would be able to cope with the pressures of school and life in general without my Savior. He gives me peace, refreshment, and joy in the midst of sorrow. He’s the reason I’m most grateful this season.

I know, I know. I’ve have been absent for a while, but many of you already know why! Yup, I’m pregnant! We are so excited for the arrival of our third child in March – Shawn will have (hopefully) returned by then, and his welcome home gift will be a baby boy!

Since we have two girls, and I’ve grown up with two sisters, I have absolutely no idea what to do with a boy. Seriously, it’s going to be so different than anything I’ve had to handle in my life so far. However, I know God has given us such a precious gift and I can’t wait to partner with Shawn in raising him to love Jesus.

Anyway, I’m 18 weeks now, and I’m thoroughly enjoying my second trimester! I’ve never really liked being pregnant, but I’m trying to enjoy this one since it will be our last. And I have nothing to complain about since I’m comfortable and I have energy once again! I also feel the cutest in the second trimester, so I will be posting a lot of pictures in the near future of the fun outfits I’ve bought (most of which aren’t even considered maternity clothing)! So keep your eyes peeled for more blog posts, coming soon!

There’s a really cool candy factory in Denver (Hammond’s Candy), and every once in a while, the girls and I love to go check it out. They give free tours and at the end, they’ll give away one piece of candy to whoever wants it! The tour ends in their candy store, and that’s where I got two amazing lollipops for a future idea. I wanted to do a Valentine’s Day shoot with the girls!

So, when my sister was visiting, we went around the corner on a relatively warm day to shoot these pictures. I’ve never seen these two more willing to pose for a picture than when they have candy!! Needless to say, they loved it! 😉
