About April

.

Hey there! So, this is the page where I tell you all about who I am and what I do.

First of all, the most important thing in my life is God. If that seems foreign to you, let me explain. When I was eight years old, I accepted that Jesus Christ did indeed exist, that he was the Son of God, and that he died on the cross to save me from an eternity in Hell. It’s a lot to take in, I know.
.
Second, I am a writer. I have always loved to write (FOR FUN!! Writing to complete my degree was NOT fun, however) which goes hand-in-hand with my love of reading.
.
Third, I am a photographer – or at least I was. That’s why I began this blog, as a matter of fact. Now, I’m focusing on getting my Master’s in Christian Counseling. However, since I love having this blog as a creative outlet, I will continue to write and post pictures… Probably until I get too old for this to be cool anymore.
.
My husband, Shawn, and I have been married for nine years now! That’s a really long time, actually, and I’m glad to say that I believe 2017 will be a very good year for us. He is my best friend; I’m very glad God put us together and KEPT us together through all our ups and downs. He challenges me to be a better person.
.
Shawn and I have two beautiful girls together. Marlowe is three, and Fletcher is one. We are completely head-over-heels in love with our girls, but then again, what parent isn’t? Marlowe is melancholy and sensitive. She is always concerned with how other people feel; she will cry with you if you’re feeling sad. She will laugh with you if you’re happy. I love that about her.
.
Fletcher is the most happy-go-lucky baby ever. She is so joyful. All the time!! I envy her so much because joy and happiness don’t come naturally to me. I’m a pessimist if there ever was one. I will say this, though, I’ve learned how to choose to be joyful, no matter what my circumstances are. I’ve found that the best way to do that is by listing off all the good things I’ve been blessed with, including my sweet Fletcher-boo!
.
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my blog. It took me some time to write this “about me” page, and I’m glad you’re reading it. Hopefully now you have a bit of an idea of who I am and what I enjoy doing. 🙂
.
God bless,
April
